We have recently added to our web a new photoreport, dedicated to 104 Housing Units en Seville, by RGA Arquitectos.

The project is about construction of a solid urban block for housing, in the North end of the river boulevard, the extension of Torneo street in Seville. It consists of two underground carpark levels, designed fot 104 spaces, comercial space on the ground floor and a couple of upper floors, up to 8, destined for housing.

The height of the building is variable creating different readings of the grade of opening of the urban block depending on the level one is looking at. It changes from an U shape open to the North on the lower level, to a very closed rectangle on the middle level, up to double alignement, discontinuous and broken, in the upper levels. The domination of the solid block idea, as a well tested typology, is clearly visible along its perimeter.
