Fernando Alda Reflects on the Relationship Between Architecture and Photography at ENEARQ 2025

- 28-08-2025

The renowned architectural photographer delivered a lecture titled “Architecture Through Photography” during the 2nd National Meeting of Architecture Students (ENEARQ 2025), held at the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Seville. His talk explored how images shape the public’s understanding of architectural projects.

On Thursday, August 28th, Fernando Alda participated as a speaker at the 2nd National Meeting of Architecture Students (ENEARQ 2025), held at the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Seville.

His presentation, titled “Architecture Through Photography”, aimed to explore a thought-provoking question:

"The architect conceives an idea and builds it. The photographer observes the architecture and captures it in an image. Magazines select certain photographs and, along with written texts, convey an interpretation of the project. The reader of those magazines forms an idea of the architecture based on these images and texts. How similar is the architect’s original idea to the reader’s perception?"

Our sincere thanks to the ENEARQ CREARQ team for the kind invitation.
