Liberary in Ceuta. Work progress

A follow-up on the construction of the new public liberary in Ceuta (Spain) through a photographic site documentation. The Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos studio will continue to manage the execution of works, that have already started to reveal the richness and complexity of its interiors.

Looking at these picture one can sense how will the archeological remains, dated XIVth Century, hidden temporarily under the layers of pretection, coexist with the powerful concrete structure.  One may guess the future character of these interiors, the scale defined by the hight of the ceiling and the slenderness of the pilars, and we can imagine the significance of the crossed lights that already look splendid and out of control, without any sieve.
